Free Family Fun in Burlington Vermont

Our family loves a visit to Vermont. We love the fresh air, the friendly people, and the fabulous food. Burlington is as close to a family mecca as one might find in Vermont. This small city and the immediate area offers so much for families to do together all centered around the beautiful Lake Champlain and the zesty city center that is Church Street Marketplace.

Brian Head, Utah- One of Utah’s best kept secrets for families

Brain Head is the best little mountain town for families that most folks have never even heard of. Located at the doorstep of Cedar Breaks National Monument, this sleepy mountain town is sure to steal the hearts of visiting families no matter the season. My husband and I visited Brian Head with our kids as part of our Spring Break tour of Utah. Truth be told, I had never heard of the resort and initially looked at it as more of a stopping off point in between the National Parks of Southern Utah and skiing in Park City. What I didn’t know was that Brian Head would turn out to be a destination unto itself.

Kid-Friendly Carson Valley: The Hidden Nevada

Carson Valley, Nevada rocks! Never heard of it? No worries—neither had I until recently. Tsk-tsk, what a shame that Vegas hogs most of the state’s spotlight. Kid-Friendly Autumn in The Berkshires, MA

New England natives are pleasantly aware of the change in seasons from summer to autumn. Crisp, cool weather replaces the warm, summer season. Ripe pumpkins fill the gardens where strawberries and beans once resided. The most obvious change, however, is the transition of the lush, green foliage to its vibrant fall colors!

Kid-Friendly North Captiva Island: Adventurous Relaxation

As a seasoned bunch of travelers, my family loves an “adventure” vacation. This time, I tricked them into an adventure that was really about me being able to relax. The second secret is that I have found an idyllic slice of paradise off the Florida Gulf Coast that doesn’t require a passport or a long plane ride. This fabulous place is North Captiva, Florida.

Should Your Family Stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort?

Why would I stay at a campground when I go to Walt Disney World? I’m sure this is a common thought. For a family of adventurers that rise with a sunny wake-up call from Mickey then go to bed after the last firework has lit up the night sky at Cinderella’s castle, Fort Wilderness is the best place to call it a day.
