What are the best rides at Disneyland Paris? As long-time Disneyland park experts, we visited Disneyland Paris to experience the best Disneyland Paris rides and attractions, and put together a guide highlighitng the best of the best.
It wasn’t an easy task. Disneyland Paris is chock-full of amazing rides, shows, and attractions at their two parks: Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. We’ve put these two parks together to give you this top 20 list of attractions.
The Best Disneyland Paris Rides and Attractions
20. Spiderman W.E.B. Adventure
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: This is the exact ride found at Disney California Adventure.
Step into the action as you join forces with Spiderman to defeat a team of on-the-loose Spider Bots that are taking over Avenger’s Campus. While the 3D virtual reality scenes and cool hand/eye tracking technology get you into the action, the ride itself seems a little less fun than it could be.
My Marvel fans loved the concept, but the overall take-away from this ride is that it could have been better. Still the technology behind the ride is pretty incredible.
19. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.20 meters (47.2 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: None
Avengers Assemble Flight Force is an indoor roller coaster on the same track as Florida’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Rock-n-Roller Coaster. It offers all the twists and turns and inversions one could ask for. The ingenious layover of Marvel’s theme is top-notch.
We loved the pairing of a French-speaking Iron Man and an English speaking Captain Marvel explaining the mission and theme. The only problem is the ride’s absolutely jerky and rough track. My entire family, ages 13-45, left this ride with headaches and sore necks. We observed numerous other guests leaving the ride in a similar state. If you have any issues with rough rides, skip this one, even if the Marvel layover is cool.
18. Alice’s Curious Labyrinth
Disneyland Park Paris
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: None
This walk-through adventure is whimsical, fun, and interactive. It takes over 10-minutes to walk through the labyrinth, which is sprinkled with nods to Alice’s adventures in Wonderland.
It includes visits from the Queen of Hearts, her “Off with their heads” card henchmen, the Cheshire Cat, and more. The culminating end of the maze leads you up Sleeping Beauty’s Castle with a great view of Fantasyland. This experience is unlike anything you will find at another Disney Park.
17. Mickey and the Magician
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: Separate purchase only
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: None
Mickey and the Magicican is an adorable musical mashup that brings together Mickey and many of his magical friends, including Alladin’s Genie, Rafiki from “The Lion King,” and Lumière from Beauty and the Beast.
The 30-minute show includes live dancing, music, incredible costumes, and modern theatrical sets and stagecraft. As a bonus, the show gets you and your family indoors and sitting for a much-needed break from trekking the parks.
Guaranteed booking options are available with a separate purchase (not included in the Disney Premier Access), although my family had no problem arriving 20 minutes early to see the show, even in the busy summer season.
16. Cars Quatre Roues Rallye (Cars Four Wheels Rally)
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: This ride is similar to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Disney California Adventure.
At first glance, visitors may be tempted to overlook Cars Quatre Roues Rallye; watching it operate doesn’t necessarily evoke a ton of excitement.
But pay attention to the faces of the riders- this twisting and twirling ride is actually a ton of fun! The attraction is designed to resemble a carnival ride in the style of a spinning tea cup ride but with a “Cars” movie twist. My family loved the themed queue, fun music, and we all left with big smiles on our faces.
15. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
Disneyland Park Paris
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.40 meters (55 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: None
Unlike the Indiana Jones dark rides at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySEA, Disneyland Paris’ Indiana Jones ride is actually an outdoor roller coaster.
The ride was Disneyland Paris’ first major thrill ride (built before Space Mountain), the first looping ride at Disneylan Paris, and still holds the record for the highest height requirement of any Disney parks ride worldwide.
The queue area is designed to transport guests into the world of Indiana Jones. The temple-like structures, props, and theming details create an immersive atmosphere reminiscent of the film series.
Mine cart-themed vehicles take riders on a journey through various temple scenes, encountering twists, turns, drops, and sharp curves along the way. The ride is a fun, albeit jerky, rush through an Indiana Jones temple.
14. Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and La Tanière du Dragon
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: No
Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland Paris is stunning! An upgrade from Disneyland California’s original, this castle is over 100 feet taller than its counterpart in California.
Surrounded by beautiful landscaping, whimsical moving art that represents dozens of Disney characters, and a choreographed fountain show that takes place daily, the castle is a must see.
Don’t miss La Taniere du Dragon, home to an impressive animatronic dragon that lives under the castle. The dragon is life-sized and moves, breathes, and interacts with its surroundings, creating a magical experience for visitors.
13. Toy Soldier Parachute Drop
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 81 cm (32 inches)
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: This ride is similar to (but much taller than) Jumping Jellyfish at Disney California Adventure. An identical version of the ride is at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Toy Soldier Parachute Drop is one of the best rides available for your still-little-but-adventurous kiddos. With a height restriction of only 32 inches, even some tall three-year-olds can brave this dropping ride, adorably themed like Toy Story parachuting soldiers.
The drop on this ride is pretty high: 82 feet to be exact (for those familiar with Jumping Jellyfish at DCA, that drop is only 40 feet!).
12. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Dumbo is offered at all six castle parks: Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a Disney classic no matter which park you visit. In fact, Dumbo is the only ride that is at all six castle parks around the globe, making checking off Dumbo rides a must for bucket-listers.
The ride is essentially the same here as it is elsewhere, although the views of the castle from this Dumbo are some of the best. Don’t miss other classic Fantasyland attractions nearby including Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups and Le Carousel de Lancelot.
11. It’s a Small World
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: It’s a Small World is featured at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland.
Yes, the song will get stuck in your head, but it is worth it! The Disneyland Paris’ version of It’s a Small World is the only other worldwide, outside Disneyland California, to feature an outdoor loading area with beautiful landscaping and an impressive building exterior. And once inside, this version is even better.
Compared to the original in Disneyland, the ride is much more modern. This translates to less broken features, more continuity between lands, and better sets and effects. The bonus of an extended travel through Europe is also really enjoyable.
10. Peter Pan’s Flight
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Peter Pan’s Flight is also located at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland.
Another ride with many iterations across the globe, Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland Paris is a must ride, or at least a must see as the exterior of the attraction is, like the entire park, simply stunning.
In addition to being just slightly larger than the original from California, this version was the first to add a second row to the ride vehicle. Yes, this means that the ride capacity almost doubles and the line shrinks almost in half. This is true Disney magic!
9. Pirates of the Caribbean
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Pirates of the Caribbean is also available at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland.
Pirates of the Caribbean is one my family’s all time favorite rides. The whole experience of riding a boat through the swashbuckling adventure is top notch.
Disneyland Paris’ version is fantastic, with a great facade and themed queue, two drops (like the Disneyland version!), and an enjoyable adventure. Disney fans call the Paris version the “backwards version,” not because you ride backwards but because the “alive” pirates appear at the beginning of the ride, while the skeletons are at the end.
8. Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.02 meters (40 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Star Tours is also featured at Disneyland, Disney Hollywood Studios (Florida), and Tokyo Disneyland.
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues is a fast-paced simulator ride that puts you onboard and into a variety of Star Wars themed adventures. Just like the other iterations, the ride features a variety of options making it a fun way to explore “A Galaxy Far, Far Way” multiple times.
We loved how the ride was presented in a combination of both English and French. My kids will never forget C3PO talking to them in French; it was a highlight of the day.

7. RC Racer
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.20 meters (47.2 inches)
Disney Premier Access: No
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: RC Racer is also offered at Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.
My family LOVED RC Racer, a massive, scaled-up version of an RC racer track that straps riders into the action of an RC car. The attraction is themed around the character RC, the remote-controlled car, from the Toy Story franchise.
The ride simulates the movement of a remote-controlled car racing back and forth on a U-shaped half-pipe track and ride vehicles are designed to resemble RC car and are mounted on a track. Although the ride is just a forward and backward rise and fall on a track, it is actually very thrilling and incredibly fun.
6. Ratatouille: The Adventure
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: Ratatouille: The Adventure is also at EPCOT in Florida.
Situated beautifully into the Worlds of Pixar’s French village, Ratatouille: The Adventure is a must-ride. Although recent Disney rides have taken the “trackless” vehicle and its abilities to an even greater level (ie., Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway), this ride is a fun romp into the shrunken down world of a Paris restaurant that truly sets the tone for the future trackless rides and immersions.
After riding, you will definitely want to get a seat at Bistrot Chez Remy, the restaurant where the ride ends. Plan this well in advance as reservations fill up quickly.
5. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.02 meters (40 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror can also be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Florida) and Tokyo DisneySEA.
As California natives, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, may it rest in peace, was always our family favorite. And although Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is super fun, we still miss the spooky fun of the Twilight Zone. Having rode the still intact Florida version of the ride a few years ago, we figured the Paris version would be the same.
And although it is almost entirely the same, Paris ups the spooky factor with the inclusion of three alternating story lines that all involve the little girl from the family featured in the ride.
During our visit, the little girl sang creepy songs in English and French, warned us to not scream or “they” would hear us, and alternately appeared and disappeared in and out of our view. We LOVED this version, although the added creepiness might not be for everyone.
4. Crush’s Coaster
Walt Disney Studios Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.07 meters (42 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: None
Crush’s Coaster completely surprised me. I expected to find the ride entertaining based on the small exterior view of the spinning roller coaster car whirling by every few minutes, but the ride is really a combination of so many great things.
Like the now-closed Primeval Whirl at Florida’s Animal Kingdom Park, the ride is a spinning coaster, with small cars filled with four people spinning independently while on the track. And, like Space Mountain, the ride is mostly indoors and features a dark track and surprising drops, twists, and turns.
Crush’s Coaster features amazing theming that immerses its riders into the Finding Nemo theme. It truly is a one-of-a-kind, must-ride experience.
3. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.20 meters (48 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: Yes
Other Disney Park variations: Space Mountain is also featured at Disneyland (California), Magic Kingdom (Florida), Tokyo Disneyland (Japan), and Hong Kong Disneyland.
Space Mountain is a classic Disney ride no matter what park you are visiting, but our family knew from watching a Disney documentary that the Paris version was going to be special. Originally themed from Jules Vernes’ “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” the ride’s exterior still retains an old-timey, mid-1800s feel that is unique to all the parks.
But once inside the ride, the uniqueness continues: this is the only version of Space Mountain that goes upside down (and the effects of dodging a tie fighter here for the Hyperspace Mountain layover is phenomenal), and it is the only version that begins with a launch. This ride also gets up to speeds of 44 miles per hour (for comparison, California and Florida are 35mph and 27 mph respectively).
2. Phantom Manor
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: None
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Haunted Mansion is also featured at Disneyland (California), Magic Kingdom (Florida), and Tokyo Disneyland (Japan).
Haunted Mansion rides are featured at four Disney parks, but the Disneyland Paris one takes the prize for its storyline alone. Although the ride follows a similar pathway through a haunted mansion, Phantom Manor is the only park to tell a comprehensive story behind the attraction.
Using its Old-West themed Thunder Mesa town as the backdrop for the story, the ride follows the story of the disappearance and death of four grooms-to-be and their in-common fiance, Melanie. The ride isn’t too scary, but there are quite a few more spooky moments than the variations at other parks.
1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Disneyland Park
Minimum Height Requirement: 1.02 meters (40 inches)
Disney Premier Access: Yes
Single Rider: No
Other Disney Park variations: Big Thunder Mountain is also featured at Disneyland (California), Magic Kingdom (Florida), Tokyo Disneyland (Japan), and Hong Kong Disneyland (although with a slightly different theme).
We are huge fans of the mine train themed Big Thunder Mountain roller coaster, no matter what Disney location we are visiting. But Disneyland Paris’ iteration consistently ranks top lists of the best version across all parks, making it our number one pick for rides at Disneyland Paris.
The ride offers all of the best perks of the other park’s versions, including three lifts, a dynamite-themed explosion, and lots of fun wild-west themed anamatronics. The length of the ride is over four minutes (a minute longer than Disneyland’s version), the speed is faster ( 41 miles per hour vs 35), and the final descent into a pitch-black cave at high speeds made this ride an instant favorite of our family.
