Trunki’s PaddlePak is a delightful light-weight, splashproof backpack for small children. It comes in several cute-as-can-be variations:
- Clown Fish
- Killer Whale
- Pink Fish
- Blue Fish
- Blow Fish
PaddlePak is good for any water activity or any activity that requires the use of a light weight bag such as hiking, amusement parks with water rides, or camping. It offers its contents some, but not total protection from the water. It’s splashproof.
WHAT’S SPLASHPROOF MEAN?
When my PaddlePak first came in the mail, I was immediately impressed by its roll down top with snap closure. It reminded me a lot of the professional dry bag I have for when I kayak. The little kid in me raced to determine its level of waterproofness. I placed a few toys from my son’s playroom inside our pack and then submerged it in our bathtub. After rescuing Mr. Lobser from a near drowning experience, I discovered the toys placed inside were lightly damp, but not wet.
THE GREATNESS FACTOR
It’s the cutest dang thing I’ve seen in a while and I know we’ll get looks of admiration whenever we leave the house with it. It’s loaded with cool features like a tab to securely hold sunglasses, a Neoprene zippered compartment, reflector strips, a large inner compartment, padded straps, and a hook for hanging.
What I love the most about my PaddlePak is when secured shut, the bag’s opening resembles a mouth. In the closed position, our lobster PaddlePak resembles a large mouth bass. Ah-dorable!
True Story: I took my PaddlePak to the office to show it off to the other moms who I work with. Of course they all said, “OMG, it’s so cute!” Currently, Trunki is offering a 15% off promo code for anyone who signs up for their newsletter. Price at the time of this review was $25.
Trunki is recommended for kids ages 2 +.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary PaddlePak to facilitate this review. I was not asked to express any particular opinion. My thoughts are my own. I would buy this, it’s a good product.
