Monday Madness: Win a JVC Everio GZ-EX250 (valued at $400)

The clichés are true:  we are blinking and our children are growing up before our eyes.

As a busy mom to three little girls, it is sometimes hard to stop and take account of all of our blessings.  Lunches need packed, hair needs combed, school work needs corrected.  If we aren’t careful, we will miss so much of the wonder and beauty of the childhood years.

My favorite way to chronicle our lives is with video.  I make an (almost) yearly video recap of our family, and watching (and re-watching) these DVDs has already been the most wonderful nostalgic look at their past.

Instead of lugging around my giant tape camcorder, I recently had the chance to review a JVC Everio GZ-EX250 camcorder.  I have been so impressed with the quality workmanship and amazing features of this camera!

  • Lightweight & Compact
  • 40x ZOOM!!  We are talking up-close-faces at school and sporting events zoom!
  • Easy off and on
  • Built in WiFi (send clips to smart phone for social media, or email directly over WiFi)
  • Image Stabilizer helped subdue shaky mom hands
  • Included video editing software
  • Archive Quality, Full HD footage (and great quality still shots too!)
  • Low light performanceexcellent quality even for those birthday candle moments!
  • Touch Panel View Finder
  • 16GB built in memory (Memory card slots for additional storage)
  • Smile meter (tells you if your kids are smiling fully; you can also program to take pic automatically when smile is at the peak!)
  • Zoom microphone (amazing!) that picks up sound from where the camera is focused, even if far away!!

  • Battery life not quite as long as I would hope for
  • User interface a bit tricky to navigate; the incredible list of features are not incredibly easy to find with just a quick look.

Overall, I loved using this camera!! If you aren’t already impressed, you should also know that in addition to capturing your home video footage with quality and ease, the built in WiFi allows you to use your camera for home monitoring (or baby monitoring) via your cell phone or computer!  Check out the video below if you are curious about these great features:

I tweeted using the tweet button on the rafflecopter & noticed the tweet says:

I entered to win a QuickSmart Backpack Stroller via @trekaroo

instead of a JVC Everio GZ-EX250 Camcorder
Instead of a new one saying that I entered

Thank you Carol for bringing this to my attention. I have fixed the issue. Your tweet will count either way. 🙂
