I am going to Vegas, Maui, Orlando, NYC, and probably New Orleans. I am checking the closer places off of my bucket list 1st and then going to expand from there.

My family and I are planning on taking a family vacation to the east coast! We would like to take a few months and drive from Florida to Maine. I’m not 100% sure it’ll happen, but I hope so! Other than that, our new job will require us to travel by car extensively through Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas with our family. We’re pretty excited about it all!

  3. Sharon

So far we have no great vacation plans, although my kids would like to go back to Williamsburg. We’ll see how things shape up as the year gets going. I’d like to take them somewhere we’ve never been before. I’ll be reading Trekaroo reviews for ideas!

  4. My travel plans for 2011 thus far:
    -Disney Cruise/Orlando/Kissimmee, FL in January
    – Shreveport-Bossier, LA for Mardi Gras in February
    – Perhaps Palm Springs over Spring Break
    – Vancouver, Canada in June
    – Minneapolis/St. Paul in August
    – TBD over Thanksgiving
    – And surely there will be more!

  5. Michelle P

We don’t have any big plans for traveling next year just yet (sad!). I do know that if I have an anxiety attack of some sort, we may have to make a mad dash down to Disneyland for some good quality family fun and r & r.

  6. LeeAnn P.

Our plans include multiple road trips – to the coast, to Florida for Disney and possibly LA to see Nana

  7. Jason Carrigg

I have a cruise planned for october in the caribbean(first one), a week long “expedition” in alaska to go kayaking/camping, a trip planned for mt. Rainer to hike/camp, and usually a least once or twice a month backpacking/hiking/ camping…usually the AT.

  8. Tim Ansley

We just had our first son last year and have always been big travellers. We have a trip planned to Disneyland with the family in February, then are going to try to get him our camping as much as possible!

  9. April

My travel plans is to drag my family to the Bay Area to see San Francisco & Monterey Bay. Oh, did I mention that I’m running the SF Half Marathon too? That’s my excuse to get the family up there! LOL!

  10. Patricia

    Thanks

  11. Marilyn

Hoping to take family trip to Alaska to visit my older brother and family. Will also do camping in our state (CA) and maybe a trip to D.C.

  12. Corey V

My travel plans for next year are extensive, but one of the most anticipated journey’s I will take next year will have to be to Dolly Sods Wilderness. This is a total backcountry adventure within a reasonable distance (3.5 hours) for a secluded, survival style, get away. This has become a yearly ritual with me and my two friends and can’t wait for 2011’s installment of this awesome trip. 3 friends, 4 days, 20 miles, bears, coyotes, snakes, cliffs, waterfalls, and the wild!

  13. Caleb

I plan on visiting Sam Houston Jones State Park here in Louisiana, where my relatives and I will enjoy the outdoors while camping.

  14. Wow! This is fantastic!

Our travel plans for the next year are still in discussion. We are debating a trip to Disney World but will probably end up staying a little closer to home. Virginia is on the short list.

  15. Michelle Brennan

We love the tips and reviews on trekaroo. Currently we are planning a trip to Yellowstone and Glacier National Park in June. We will rent an RV after flying into Wyoming. The kids are very excited about the geological formations, less excited about the prospects of Grizzly Bears. We are alos planning to go to Vermont, NY, Rhode Island and New Hampshire in 2011

  16. Bevin Gaines

Hopefully, I’ll be headed to Joshua Tree, CA for climbing, beautiful scenery and wine. What a great getaway… sigh.

  17. Michelle

We hope to travel to Alaska again to visit our family. Other spots would include San Francisco, California Gold Country, Redwoods, and Zion National Park.

  18. Brenda Ansley

My travel plans for next year include a bunch of camping! We just bought a new tent trailer, so will be out on the road as much as possible

  19. Margaret Smith

Right now we’re planning a trip in the early spring to South Carolina to visit my Dad who recently moved there. We’ve never been there before, so we’re looking forward to checking SC out.
Thanks so much for this giveaway.

I’ve taken kids to Belle Isle in Richmond, VA. You walk across a small walk bridge that hangs below a larger bridge. It overlooks the whole James River. Belle Isle has a big trail around the outside, with many trails through the trees in the middle. You can swim in the river, and there are enough large rocks that it creates still pools of water. There are also a lot of historic ruins on the island from a couple of hundred hears ago.

Don’t know where we’re going, just know that we’ll be taking 2-3 trips in 2011.That’s been my sweepstakes win average the last few years. In 2010 we hit on Hawaii & Thailand.

  22. Joanne Schultz

we’re unemployed, so mostly we will stay close to home. However, my niece is graduating high school in 2011 so we’ll will travel for that.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  23. Naomi C.

We’re hoping to head to California in the winter and Australia in the summer, but we’ll see if we get to do both.

  24. NICHOLAS ELIAS NIEVES

WE BE MOVING FROM FLORIDA TO LAS VEGAS NEXT YEAR AND WE BE DRIVING THERE THUR NEW YORK, PENN, TEXAS, AND MAYBE TAKE A MILITARY FLIGHT TO EUROPE

  25. Jessica

We’ll probably take one vacation next year (hopefully somewhere warm) and a couple small camping trips up north. Thanks for the giveaway!

  26. Miss Heidi

I haven’t thought of any. Hopefully, we can take a train ride to Chicago. This year has been really rough and to just go down there for a few days and get a nice hotel would be nice. To not be able to cook would be vacation enough for me. Thanks.

We don’t have any plans for next year really. We are thinking of going to CA but not sure if finances will allow for it.

  28. Kris T.

  29. Amanda Davis

We love the outdoors, so we try to head out for camping and hiking trips a few times each year. We’ll definitely be spending some time in the Mohican Wilderness this coming Spring, as we always do.

Thanks so much for the chance to win this!

Once a year we(my 2 teens and myself) make the 1200 mile trip by car to visit my elderly mother, my oldest children, their spouses, my grandsons and my siblings
It’s a long trip and because money is tight we try to drive as long as we can then we pull into a rest area and take naps, then continue on
We eat meals in car or at a rest area from what we packed to bring(can’t afford fast food or sit down meals)
This year at age 52, just had vision loss in left eye so don’t know if we will be making the trip as my teen will have to do the drive
Hopefully we will be able to make the trip

  43. Stacy

We are still finalizing our travel plans, but it looks like we are either taking a West Coast trip (Northern California, especially Napa Valley, along with Oregon and Washington) or an Alaskan cruise.

  44. Gaye McGill

We have two graduations and a wedding scheduled next year, so that’s three trips to Indiana. I’m also taking my granddaughter (h.s. graduate) to D.C. Hopefully DH and I will get to New Orleans as well. This is a teriffic giveaway!

  45. C Gibbs

I am taking my kids on their first outside of the continental US trip to Puerto Rico…hoping to get them to love travel as much as I do!

  46. Katie S.

No plans yet. We’re thinking about going to Vegas for our 5th wedding anniversary, but we’re only about 30% sure we want to go back.
