Families taking over – rating destinations in 50 states

Since the launch of Trekaroo, families have been asking when they would be able to share their inside scoop about destinations beyond our initial 8 States.  Travel savvy parents who see the immense value in having a grassroots community of parents sharing the real deal about traveling with kids to various destinations really want to get the ship sailing.  With all the enthusiam from our users to keep sharing about more destinations, we decided to free up rate and review for all 50 States and hand the reigns over to our families.  Yesterday, we lauched it and on day one, we had close to 200 reviews.  Best of all, people are having fun writing about their adventures.  “I’m glad you are enjoying the reviews. I had fun doing them. That’s why I went back on to review a few I had forgotten about.” says Rebecca Jolly, a mom of 2 who lives in Georgia, but grew up in Alabama, and who’s husband is from India.  They know travel.

If you too want to hop on the band wagon and start writing about hotels and activities in your hometown or in places you’ve visited as a family, come on by and start writing.  There are thousands of families eager to read what you have to say.

To express our appreciation for the wonderful things families are sharing about on Trekaroo, we sent out an Invitation Only Rewards Program.  For the next two weeks, we’re giving away cash, flip video camcorders and more.  If you would like to receive an  invitation, send an email to editor@trekaroo.com. And say “Send me ze invitation.”
