Carnival of Cities for 29 December 2010

Welcome to the December 29, 2010 edition of carnival of cities where we tour the world in a single blog post.  Trekaroo is thrilled to be able to host this round of a very informative and entertaining series which takes readers to various cities around the globe, from the perspective of different bloggers.

I love the Carnival of Cities because in addition to introducing me to new places to add to my travel itinerary, it also introduces me to some great bloggers with a wealth of information.  I have a feeling Trekaroo readers will love the virtual world tour as well.

The previous edition was hosted by Sheila’s Guide to the Good Stuff and future hosting rights are up for grabs!  If you’d like to host a future Carnival edition on your blog (January 12 and 26 plus February 9 are open) please contact  Sheila “at” sheilascarborough “dot” com. Now, let’s tour the globe!

Cities in Europe

Rome, Italy: Anne-Sophie Redisch presents La befana, the good witch of Epihany posted at Sophie’s World, saying, “In Italy, la befana leaves presents for children on Epiphany (6 January).”
Augsberg, Germany: Elmer Boutin presents Bavarian Dream Vacation – Day 3, Augsburg posted at Musings of Řehoř, saying, “Some ideas for a day trip to Augsburg, Germany (if you happen to be in the area, that is).”

Cities in the Americas

Tonalá, Mexico: Mary Jo Manzanares presents Shopping in Tonalá, Mexico posted at Traveling with MJ, giving, “Practical shopping tips to navigate the open air markets of Tonala, Mexico.

Keystone, Colorado, USA: Kara Williams presents Keystone for Families: Better than Ever with Bigger Snow Fort & More posted at The Vacation Gals.
Indianapolis, Indiana, USA: Nicole presents Sampling food at Traders Point Creamery posted at Arrows Sent Forth, saying, “Traders Point Creamery is one of the nation’s only all-organic dairy farms. The food they offer in their restaurant and dairy bar is a culinary delight!”

Thanks so much for hosting the Carnival – I was out of town yesterday so am just now getting over here to read. Great entries!

The next edition on January 12 will be hosted on the Perceptive Travel Blog, but every other Wed after that is still available for hosting.
