  1. Grandma Dot

Besides moms and dads, there are a bunch of us grandparents who value our time with the children. I enjoy bringing the 2 and 5 year olds with me on countless visits to local parks, libraries and museums around the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s a great way to connect the generations by sharing exploration up and down the Peninsula! Cantor Arts Museum at Stanford has free admission and changing exhibits for kids. If you go on a weekend, there is free parking right next to the entrance as well. Seeing the African mask exhibit through the toddler’s eyes was definitely exciting! To keep their interests, we don’t try to see everything. When indoors feels enough, we ventured outside the museum grounds in the Rodin Gardins, and the nearby rock river, where every rock touched and walked over became a celebration of each precious moment!
